This solution is ideal for patients who are missing one or both full arches of teeth. Rather than replacing each individual missing tooth with its own implant, All-on-4 implants anchor a full arch of replacement teeth on only four implants.

“Dental implants” is often used as a catch-all term, but the prosthesis used to replace a tooth has three separate components: a titanium post (the dental implant), an abutment that attaches to this post, and the crown, or artificial tooth, that attaches to the abutment. 

Dental implants are increasing in popularity because they are the only solution that replaces missing teeth both above and below the gumline. This helps preserve the integrity of the jaw bone, preventing facial collapse. It also results in a strong bite and teeth that look, function, and feel just like the real thing.

The process of getting traditional dental implants requires multiple office visits. If you’ve already experienced bone loss in the jaw, grafts may be required before you’re a candidate for dental implant surgery; if you still have some teeth remaining, they will need to be extracted prior to your implant procedure.

All-on-4 dental implants differ from traditional dental implants in a few significant ways. When a patient is missing a full arch of teeth, All-on-4 implants are an excellent solution that provides nearly all of the benefits of traditional implants with fewer office visits and a lower price tag. Another feature that sets All-on-4 implants apart is that they do not require bone grafting, even when there has been a loss of bone density in the jaw. Rather than placing all of the implants straight down into the jaw, the All-on-4 procedure involves placing two of the implants at an angle, which makes use of available bone.

In most cases, you will leave our office with a fixed bridge after your All-on-4 implant surgery, restoring function to your teeth and jaw immediately.
